Along with the gentlest touches came the distant voices of his student and a woman he had long considered as a partner. The voices blended in harmony well, almost too perfectly, that he had to stamp down a small root of jealousy that seemed to grow more and more for the past few days.
Peace was simply a fleeting sensation that left him thirsting for more.
